Trace Crossings Dance Lab is a dance program for K – 4th grade students that teaches different forms of dance technique, improvisation and choreography workshop. Dance technique includes various genres like jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, cultural dances and folk dancing. The goals of this program are to build self-confidence and foster leadership and responsibility, to promote creativity, critical thinking, respect and acceptance of peers and to teach sound dance technique fundamentals. Students are given the opportunity to learn different dance styles and create and perform their own choreography through guided improvisation, modification and cross-curricular connections. Currently in its inaugural year, Dance Lab serves 170 students K – 4th grade.
When: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:50 – 8:30 in the Multi-Purpose Room
K and 1st grade classes – Monday
2nd and 3rd grade classes – Wednesday
4th grade classes - Friday
