Mr. Quincy Collins was appointed as Principal of Trace Crossings Elementary School in July of 2016. Prior to this role, he was an Assistant Principal at R.F. Bumpus Middle School. He is a native of Uniontown, Ala., and received his early education in the Perry County School System. He began his teaching career at Georgia Washington Junior High School in Montgomery, Ala., where he taught 8th grade English language arts and worked with students as an assistant basketball coach. The following year, Mr. Collins joined Johnnie R. Carr Junior High School as a 7th and 9th grade English instructor. Prior to joining Hoover City Schools, he served as a teacher leader with Tuscaloosa City Schools and taught 10th, 11th and 12th grade language arts at Northridge High School.
Mr. Collins holds degrees from Alabama A&M University and the University of Montevallo. He is married to April H. Collins.
